Like the title says. My Plex app updated to the latest version today. Since the update none of my HEVC / h265 video files will play on my Ethernet hard-wired Chromecast Ultra. Prior to the update they all played fine. I click on the “cast” button, the Plex logo comes on my TV, I click the “Watch” button in the app and for a fraction of a second all of the episodes of the series flash across the screen then it just goes back to the Plex logo. I’ve tried this with multiple shows, all have the same issue. h264 video files still seem to play fine on the Chromecast. And I can still play all my h265 files through the web browser UI on my computer or on the screen of the phone. It’s just casting them that no longer works.
Pretty annoying since I’d been building all my library in this format for the past year or so. I’ve already updated my home server to the latest 1.41.6.9685 version (before was on 1.4.5). No difference. Also tried changing settings like Direct Stream in the app. No difference. Any suggestions?
