Additional Comments from build plexmediaserver-1.21.2.3883-702fd07e3.x86_64.rpm
Season Titles appears to work well for all that I checked. Babylon 5, 24, Legend of Korra, Mr Robot, Torchwood, American Horror Story to name but a few I checked, no issues I could see so far.
Season level summaries also now downloads and again looks good from what I can see.
Shows I reported previously as mismatch happened again so it was consistent at least for matching it wrongly.
It’ll be nice if you could also expose the season title field when editing a season. I’m not sure I will want to keep super long season titles (e.g. for Ghost in the Shell SAC → “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex”, “Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG”) – I haven’t yet checked but I suppose those super long ones won’t play nice with most players and deserve some “shortening” (=manual editing)
Especially since the functionality has been there for a long time just without a box to edit. I’ve used the workaround & am okay continuing to, but why not add that box, especially since the ability is being included to an extent anyway
I populated the picture fields for all the actors from Lucifer but when I refresh the metadata per season or for the whole show, the pictures aren’t refreshed but when I refresh the metadata per episode the pictures are downloaded. Is this normal? I made a video to show the problem: Video.zip (4.2 MB)
They aren’t saying they edited the information, they are saying they used the show Lucifer to request Plex to pull the data from wherever Plex gets it from by Refresh Metadata. If you watch the video you can see that when they Refreshes Metadata on the show it does NOT update the images, but when they do it on the episode it does
when i choose French Canadian for the language… if the traduction doesn’t exist in this language it will take English… it’s possible to check an alternative language like french? for the agent?
I added pictures for all the actors who played in Lucifer on TheMovieDB and the images are first only available when I refresh on episode level but if I wait a few extra days they are also available when I refresh at show or season level. I assumed that if you already had the data on your servers it would be possible to get the data if you refreshed it by season show or episode.
Another error that I saw was that for example when I refresh the new show “Marvel studios: LEGENDS”, that the actor image of Paul Bettany is removed even when his image hasn’t been updated but when I update another movie in which he played then the image is available again.
It’s happened a few times. I’m running my test library on my Asustor NAS so I can use my backup of my current library to compare. It is slow but this seems to be outside of that.
You can open the inspector in your browser (normally by hitting F12) then go to the Network tab and inspect the request that is made when you click save.
In that response it will give you a reason why it can’t save.
I figured it was something like that. I have a bunch of failed ones but none of them show the response
So I just refreshed the page & immediately it had 9 failed
a handfull gave this {"detail":"event submission rejected with_reason: Cors"}
Without me doing anything after the refresh I’m already showing 41 Failed entries
Just closed & restarted it & Immediately have 15 failed entries. I never look at this so I’m not sure if that’s normal, but it looks like my main server has a handful of failed as well, not as many, but like 10
Look for the one that happens the instant you hit Save Changes. It might be helpful to Clear first, hit Save Changes, and then Stop recording ... (Chrome).
It will probably be a 400.
