As per the below article, it appears Plex has support for local behind the scenes type files, however it appears that with the new Plex Movie agent, the ability to respect ‘Personal Media’ as a metadata source no longer exists, removing the ability to add these files apparently. Anyone else seen this occur, and know a fix (without reverting to the old agent?)
Please show the actual file names of all files within the folder.
As well as which folder was added as a source to the library.
Is this a network file share which was added per UNC path? (\\server\share\folder)
File names were “bonus content title1.mp4” numbered up, (being the descriptive name suggested in the article)
folder was “Films/Film Name (year)/Behind The Scenes”
Yes network folder with full UNC rather than IP
However, it appears to be fixed. I reverted back to the old The Movie Database Agent, all files appeared in Plex, and have now re-upgraded and they appear to have stuck. I’m going to try adding some new files to another movie, and see if I have the same issue
