Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks for the report.
Looks like a data issue, we’re investigating. Once it’s resolved on our end a metadata refresh should fix it.
I upgraded to the latest beta and changed no settings but this update has broken the Plex Movies (Legacy) when I try to add new movies not only is the date 1900-01-01 but I get no default artwork, no content rating, no rating, no studio, no tag line, no plot summary. Cast list and some fields work okay. Even weirder is the release year shows up correct for the given movie despite the date being shown as 1900. Un-matching and Re-matching changes nothing. Also when I hit pencil icon the edit window appears but the spinning tagging icon is whirling away for minutes on end like it is attempting to match or fill the fields. Is my only choice to do the update to the new Plex Movies scanner/agent because the Legacy one seems unusable now?
@Chris_Teasdale the Legacy Plex movie agent works completely independently of the new one.
Your issue might be completely unrelated but I would need logs to determine your specific issue. You can grab those from Setting -> Troubleshooting -> Download logs and then post them here or send me DM.
happend to me, too.
Upgraded 4-5hours before, now all dates are set to XX-01-01
Watching this topic because the same thing happened to me
24 hrs later and it seems it hasn’t been resolved. Is there an update available?
Same issue here. I’m glad I didn’t refresh my whole movie library.
newly added/re-matched items are fine, but when the lib refreshes the dates are gone.
Weird, newly added items get the xxxx-01-01 date for me too.
It’s one of our top priorities to fix. It won’t be this week however but I hope it can get deployed early next week. Will share when I know more as I’m not the person working on this but will push to get a speedy resolution.
if u use a beta, u have to accept bugs like this to happen.
We would love to not have had this issue in the beta and we had been testing forum preview builds for a quite a while but this one regressed quite late in that cycle and unfortunately wasn’t picked up in time.
You are however correct that beta software will always have the chance of having some new issues, so if you care about having as much of a problem free experience as possible it is always recommended to wait for public releases.
Oh, I get that I wasn’t complaining, I appreciate all the hard work Plex has done on this feature.
I’ve got the same issue. Waiting for the patch.
I don’t want to jinx it, but… seems to be working correctly now!
Correct. It should be fixed now when refreshing metadata (or when scanning in new items).
A fix was deployed yesterday but caching may have prevented it from getting picked up immediately for everyone but it should be good for most now. If you’re still seeing issues with the dates please report it.
Hi. I’m still experiencing this. Added files to folders couple of days ago.
Are you still seeing this? Could you list some examples of which movies it’s happening for?
