New Plex Player constantly refreshing home screen

My apologies if this has already been brought up, but I’m experiencing a bug with the new Plex play on Windows 10.

My Home page keeps refreshing sporadically. This involves the whole page going blank except for the side menu options and a refresh symbol in the middle. Sometimes it will go 30 seconds without refreshing, other times it is happening every 10 seconds or every 5.

The home page is the only page this happens on, not happening on any of the pages for specific libraries.

It’d be great if there is a simple setting that I was unaware of that could fix this!

Thanks!

This is a new one to me. It might be worthwhile to reset your home screen customizations. Click on the Settings icon then click on RESET CUSTOMIZATION:

That appears to have done the trick, thank you!!

I’d like to mention this happened to me aswell, not on the player, but on the server side.
The “Home” page kept refreshing, made it impossible to use it.

After using the “RESET CUSTOMIZATION” it stopped and is now working again.

Web client: Version 4.8.4
Server: Version 1.18.0.1944
Running on a synology NAS.

Thanks so much! Was having this issue on the server side and that fixed it.

still works! the ‘reset customization’ button is in a different place for me though. From the home screen I had to click the little ‘pencil’ edit icon in the upper right corner, then the button was at the bottom of the window that popped up

Thanks for posting this!

New to Plex but quite an annoying issue. Still exists on latest Plex Server (Windows). I also had to find the reset as per [ [kensandiego]'s post but it also seemed to do the trick.

Seems it should be simple for Plex to fix tho. : )

another thanks from me, too bad plex cant resolve such issues by an update itself or atleast add to changelogs.
