Is an iPad compatible version in the cards? This is an awesome iPhone app and would make an amazing iPad app.

just downloaded the app! Nice app so far… but there are a few bugs to correct 
(for example the App shows only the default coverarts)
another great feature would be an offline acces to your plex database.
You connect one time to your plex database and you’ll be albe to scroll through your movies without a connection to your PlexDB.
these are exactly the two most important "bugs" for me too !

It should not be impossible as the author said the database is loaded on the iphone when connected so i guess, it is saved on the iphone somewhere
An other bug I have is that I cannot start any content from the app. So the app is unusable at this time.
My best wanted feature would be to see if a movie or TV show was already seen. I would like also to be able to see only the unread items through a preferences button.

First, great app. I was leery to shell out 3 bucks because of the relative suck factor of other apps, but this one seems worth it. It’s well designed, functional, and girl-friend proof*.
Few tech problems thought:
1 - the volume control does not control volume. No matter what I do, it’s only ability seems to be to slide the volume to 0%
(Plex 8.5, OS X 10.5.8, iPod Touch 2G OS 3.1.2 Jailbroken, Airport WiFi 802.11b/g)
2 - It doesn’t load any of my music. (also a problem my friends / boss has)
This isn’t a critical thing, and I’m suspecting it’s due in large part to my music library being well over 150 gigs.
3 - Not a failure exactly, but a suggestion: The “remote” tab with it’s swipe, tap, and double-tap features are 100% cool, but not especially responsive or intuitive. It would be nice if there were an option to switch that to a simple + shaped set of navigation buttons, with an enter and back button a la RowMote’s remote interface (though, the rest of RowMote is for crap).

I have just downloaded the updated App from the App Store…and now it doesn’t work at all 
The App fails to launch. Has anyone else downloaded this version? Does it work for you?
I’m using a 3GS, and the old version worked fine.

To address some of your issues:
1. You must enable the sync with system volume option is the settings for Plex to control volume.
2. If your music is pulled from your iTunes library, Controllr will not be able to see it. You will need to add the folder where your music is stored to the Plex library.
3. I find that the gesture controls are more effective since you do not need to keep your eyes on he iPhone. I may add virtual buttons if enough people request it.
I have had another report of this issue, so I have preemptively removed Controllr from the app store. If you have already downloaded 1.2 and experience a crash on launch, please send me a log file so I may fix this issue.

Just purchased your Plex “Controllr” remote and I must say that I am quite pleased. very straight forward and simple to use. I was impressed and pleasantly surprised to see that it downloads the proper format of thumbs for tv shows and the cache is also very sweet!
let me say that I have tried about half a dozen different remotes (for Plex and or XBMC) and although the XBMX remote seems to integrate more deeply within the library, this app rocks and looks great!
I hope you continue to develop it!
may I suggest a few feature requests…
it would be amazing if we could have a "recently added"feature (something like “new movie” in the Plex/Alaska Skin for example.
a search (if possible) would be a real plus…
anyway hope to hear from you soon. (now that you have moved and are settled in right)?

i had the problem with the app crashing after the 1.2 update. I just deleted it and did a fresh install and it worked again (though it had to be setup again).
Had this in my iTunes “wish list” to keep an eye on updates and price and noticed that it has now been removed from the app store (or am I confused?).
Well not surprised if it was removed as the recent 1.2 update was worse than 1.1 IMHO. Hopefully Turbolag will release 1.3 soon???
1.2 seemed to have the problem where when you scrolled back up the list of shows/movies the fan art would be gone.

I did the UIDevice hack and took some screen shots (below). Unfortunately since this is still fundamentally the iPhone version of controllr, its not really usable, but if Turbolag finds the time to work on an Controllr HD for the iPad, things can only look even better!!!

Version 1.21 is available on the AppStore. A few bug fixes, and some optimizations are included in this update. I am currently working on a few features to leverage OS 4.0 . . . stay tuned.
