I show the new Quantum leap on the guide for Monday September 19, 2022 @ 10:00 pm est. I have set the show to record, but the show is not added to the DVR Schedule. The Icon for the show is for the previous show from 1989.
They had the same kind of problem with the MacGyver reboot years ago and the Magnum P.I. reboot. The old Rovi EPG kept flipping back and forth every couple of month between which show it thought was airing. I thought maybe they had fixed that after moving back to Gracenote, but maybe not.
I eventually just had to keep dual schedules for both the old MacGyver and new MacGyver configured to the proper channel to weed out the reruns.
Ultimately I stopped using the Plex DVR and switched to Channels DVR which I have never seen display such a problem.
That’s it? Suck it up that’s just how it (doesn’t) work?

You didn’t include the logs so there wasn’t anything for them to check out.
If you have a recording that has the old poster then it has the wrong media id, delete the recording and try again. To be extra sure, refresh the guide and restart the server before creating the recording. If it doesn’t have the right poster then your EPG isn’t updating properly. It is ok to shut down the server and delete the tv.plex.providers.epg.cloud* files in the database directory to be sure of no corruption.
