New Router, Now PLEX Will Not Connect

That does not help if your clients are still using the router as its DNS. Clients will still be subjected to the DNS Rebind Protection in the router. Manually set the DNS settings in the clients and test again. Also if you disable Secure Connections under Settings | Network of PMS in the web app, this will further validate the root cause is DNS Rebind Protection.

I did try changing it to DISABLED - no difference.

And you already tried setting the clients to used Google DNS directly and not the router’s?

Is there a specific setting in PMS for that?

No you do that in the network settings of your client devices.

Oh! You mean on my Ethernet adapter?

On the CLIENT DEVICES

There is no option on the LG or the FireStick for that that I am aware of.

I have an LG OLED and there is. I also have Amazon FireTV devices and they have it as well. You will need to manually configure.

Ah! OK, found the advanced settings on the OLED. Will give it another shot.

Any luck?

No change at all. And I could not find the advanced setting on the FireStick :frowning:

I will DM you.

Ok, so I just spoke with Asus Level 2 support and they advised that the security on the AX11000 HAS been upgraded and now you need to use Port Forwarding with it. So I will try that this weekend and see how it goes

Well, I tried configuring the RT-88U with port forwarding, and it STILL WORKED!!! VERY happy about that. Will be trying again with the AX11000 later tonight or tomorrow! (And will update)

Well HOLY CRAP!!! I FINALLY got it working!!! Here’s the trick - yes, you have to use Port Forwarding, BUT once you set your Port in REMOTE ACCESS, you have to DISABLE the REMOTE ACCESS. Then set the Port Forwarding on your router (you can use the same default, 32400), and you have to DISABLE Secure Connection. I did NOT have the DNS Rebind issue. It also connected on the Auto Tri-Band, I did not have to separate the bands.

Whew! Talk about a hassle! But at least anyone who buys one of these will now know what to do.

I’ll add into this so anyone looking will be able to (hopefully) find this - ASUS ROG RAPTURE GT-AX11000

Thank you to everyone for your time, help, and suggestions!
