Server Version#: 1.18.7.2457
Player Version#: LG OLED TV
So I installed a new router and now Plex says it can’t connect because the server requires Secure Connections, so I try Preferred, same thing, so I set it to disable. No change.
Tried uninstalling Plex on both the computer and the TV. No change.
I even hooked up a new FireTV and it says the same thing
Things are fine on the desktop though.
PLEASE help!
I noticed that when I signout in the desktop player app, it says “This server is unclaimed and not secure” with the CLAIM SERVER option. I click that and it signs me in, but I STILL cannot connect from the TV or FireStick, and when I sign back out it still says the same Unclaimed message.
Try adding your Server LAN IP address to your LG Client settings, then in the Server/Network settings add your subnet Mask to “List of IP addresses and networks that are allowed without auth”.
It also helps to reserve/ static your TV LAN IP in your router
Reading back it sounds like when you claimed the server you were then able to login via the desktop successfully.
If that’s correct then I wonder if your clients are caching something locally. Have you tried signing out and even reinstall on your clients (firestick etc…)
I’m doing a complete uninstall/delete, as just suggested. No, the FireStick is actually a brand new install, the LG install was existing, but I also tried uninstalling & re-installing that.
Again, even when I claim the server and it signs me in, it is Unclaimed again as soon as I sign out.
Correction - these are the ONLY items with respect to LG

OKay, so we have it clear, you have resetup again from scratch, logged in using your browser, claimed the server and added a library to it and ALL is working fine from your browser. Is that correct ? If so it confirms at least that plex on your server is working but your clients are having trouble connecting to it.
The snipit of logs really does not help so please upload the full logs.
Some other what might seem basic questions so sorry but they are worth asking to help debug and understand your setup :
I assume the old router is now powered off, right ?
are your client connections wired or wireless ?
if wireless I assume when you setup the new router you might have used the same wireless settings as before on your new router but did you reconnect your clients to the new wireless network? Might be worth forgetting the wireless connection on the device and reconnect again.
are you using a single router in your setup ? Any APs for example ?
what router do you have now ? Could it have a built in firewall or have blocking enabled OOB ? Any firmware updates needed ?
where is plex installed – Windows/Linux/Docker/NAS/MAC ?
