New Server No way to save old one?

Server Version#:

So, I just got a new PC and I wasnt able to get any of the metadata from my old PC. I thought it would carry over. So when I went to sign into plex none of my movies were there.
So is there a way I can save my servers metadata? I log into my phone (plex) and it still shows all of my movies but offline of course. So, that data is somewhere right?

Like I said above, I wasn’t able to salvage the data from the old PC. Or the “source” folder.

What phone?

I’m not aware of any apps, etc that can take the cached data off of a phone and restore it to a Plex server – my guess is you’re going to have to set up your new PMS from scratch…

I have a plex app on my phone.

I saw that the data was being saved so I was hoping i could pull that info or transfer the data somehow. I should note that the “source” old PC is no longer plugged in nor can it be turned on.

Sorry, yes, which model phone? Android? More things are possible but again, I don’t know of anything offhand.

Can you pull the hard drive(s) from the old PC?

I did. But they (Geek Squad) said that nothing could be recovered unless I wanted to send it off somewhere for like 200+$'s.

Model of phone is a Galaxy S7.

Would be so bad to set it up from scratch? Do you have a lot of custom cover art or something?

I would lose my watched history. And playlists. Some of which are intricate.

Your phone doesn’t hold any usable data. Everything was on the server. If you lost the server hard disk, then there is no way to reconstruct your ‘watched’ history
(unless you have used last.fm and/or trakt.tv and connected them to your server).

There might be a small chance to reconstruct at least a part of your history if you have downloaded and saved your primary Plex database file. (perhaps during an error investigation)
