I’ve been having an issue over the past few weeks of Plex thinking that a show’s new episodes are actually repeats. Specifically, the shows I’ve experienced this with are:
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (CBS)
Late Night with Seth Meyers (NBC)
I usually have them set to only record new episodes.
I understand that The Late Show was on reruns last week and Late Night was on reruns two weeks ago. But both The Late Show and Late Night are all new this week.
And yet, Plex only recognizes tonight’s episode of Late Night as new. The others only show up (please see attached image) if I set both shows to record “New and Repeat Episodes”. And yes, I did run an EPG update just before submitting this post with no change (I’m in the Phily region using Verizon FiOS, if that helps).
Not sure if this is an issue with Plex or with your EPG data provider. But either way, this needs a fix…
