So I’m watching the new baseball season and have been recording Dodgers games to watch later at night after the live game has ended. Usually I watch the same night aired so I only have one episode to watch. Two days ago I didn’t have time to watch the current episode so the DVR recorded started recording the second episode yesterday while I was watching the first episode. I got busy and paused the playback of episode 1.
When I went back to that episode several hours later I saw that I had two completed episodes and chose episode 1 and clicked on “Resume” like I have many times in the past. But this time it started playing episode two from the beginning. I stopped playback and checked that I hadn’t just clicked on the wrong episode and found I had done it correctly. So now, regardless of whether I choose episode 1 or episode 2 the Plex player will take me to episode 2.
I looked at Info for both episodes and found that they are indeed named differently, and subsequently watched the rest of episode 1 by using Windows Media Player. Why is my Plex player doing this? I usually use Plex for Windows, but this same situation is happening when I use Plex for IOS and Plex for Roku. It seems like the server (WD PR4100) is sending the player to the wrong file. How do I fix this? This hasn’t been an issue in the last three years and I don’t see this problem with any other shows/episodes.
Here’s the file path for the two episodes. Note that the only difference is the date.

I just checked another recording that has multiple episodes and found the same problem, but only with the 4/16/21 and 4/17/21 episodes. I can only watch the 4/17 episode when I click either icon. However, for the 4/15/21 episode it will run the file for the correct day.
