New Subtitles...will they use Forced?

With yesterday’s blog announcement about subtitles, beyond the ability to get all of the possible language subtitles like Sub-Zero Plugin does (which I use)…

Does anyone know if this will have an option to always have Forced Subtitles turned on (and preferrably from the server side). I don’t know to go look for forced subtitles for every movie and its not until you are watching it, sometimes, that you see that you need it (there is one or two scenes in an otherwise English language movie where a character speaks another language).

There isn’t an option to automatically go look for forced subtitles. You will have to do it manually each time.

I’m puzzled as to how this is meant to work. I have a film in Japanese but in the ‘watch’ screen it says subtitles: None… am I missing a setting ?

The feature is being rolled out slowly so you may not have gotten it yet. Please give it a few days.

Ok, so that’s the version I am running right now on Android TV. So question remains, am I missing something here ? no option for to select subtitles

We need to do something to your account on our end. This is being done automatically but slowly over the next few days. I can’t say when a specific user will be able to use the feature, but it is coming.

Close bit no cigar… so I now have a ‘More’ selection under ‘Select subtitles’ which brings up a list. However whatever subtitle selection I choose from that list I get “Something went wrong when downloading subtitles. Please try again”… Any ideas anyone ?

Tried again this evening and it works…brilliant… happy days :slight_smile:
