Love the new TV Guide, it looks amazing! Just one little thing can you re add the channel numbers in the guide. Similar to the old guide. Or maybe just have an option to turn it off and on as it’s hard to find the channels now. Thank you

Also, scrolling through the channel list is much slower, can we speed this up to super fast again, or better yet, make this configurable?
I also thought it was slower but then I removed that comment. I just found that clicking on the button very rapidly seems to be pretty fast. But I guess it is slower haha.
Haven’t seen the new UI. But I’m curious, what’s the need for a channel number in Plex? You can’t tune to a channel using the number keys on a remote, so aren’t they just wasted space in the UI? Not trying to be a jerk, just wondering what the use case is for the numbers is all!
Some channels are the Spanish version and some are the English version and the only way to know is by the channel number. Also with four hundred channels that makes it easier to find the channel when scrolling through the guide to know where you’re at. If they had favorites in the guide where you could pin them to the front, then there probably wouldn’t be a reason to have Channel numbers. But that’s been requested hundreds of times;).
people have tended to know what channels are on what channel number so its easier to scroll looking at channel numbers as they are in numerical order than it is to look for a channel name. For example, rather than looking for BBC One HD I know its on channel 101 so i can see where i am numerically and know when im scrolling that im coming up on that number.
I think they just added favorite channels to the TV Guide or Camelia’s just messing with me! I’m not home at the moment.

So the Plex favorite channels for live TV Guide is only for the Plex live TV service, not for the people that have been waiting for a couple years now ( people that have have their own service). That’s a little cold:unamused:

Updating to 8.19.0.26150-beta brings back Channel numbers!
Having the Channel Numbers is nice. Could we add the ability to modify the channel numbers in the guide lineup? Perhaps 2 options to satisfy this need, Channel Number Changing & Drag-N-Drop Re-arrangement.
@DaveBinM @daioio could this be added as an optional feature?
Edit:. Well it seems it was operator error. Looks like a long press on the channel will allow you to add it to a list of favorites so they weren’t removed it was just redesigned.
Well it seems now we don’t even have the favorites in Plex live TV section.
After the latest updates in the new guide they removed favorites. And they put the most popular channels bear the end of each list.
To get to my favorite news channel I have to go all the way to the end of the section menu to select news then to the bottom of the news list is the channel I watch.
Previously the recent channels you’ve been to were in the favorites section which is now been removed.
