Once more, I really love this new interface.
Some things are missing or not working yet:
Subtitles stop working after a short while. Opening the settings menu and start the movie/episode makes them visible again.
‘plex mix’ isnt available (yet)?
sometimes the ‘cursor’ dissapears. F.e. when navigating to an album and opening the playlist, navigating through the list and selecting a song doesnt always work. Suddenly nothing is selected and i dont know where my cursor went. Have to go 1 screen back and open the playlist again to make it work.
I can answer booth questions with yes. I have german as preferred language and at the preplay page german is selected. But it plays the English track alltough german is selected.
With series it is every single file.
In the moviesection it is totally random. German is always selected and sometimes ist works, sometimes it plays English and sometimes there is nothing, silence.
Having bad screen tearing on any movie what seems fast movement or lots of changes in a scene. Also can’t play Batman Begins VC1. All movies are Bluray remuxes with Flac 5.1 -7.1
I can duplicate the behavior of the ability to highlight items/next episode getting “lost” after watching an episode of TV, backing out a screen is the only way to get it back.

Are you sure your server is listed as “Nearby” and not “Remote” in the XB1 client? The latter will cause it to transcode instead of direct play.
People seem to have had an uptick of issues involving having to manually specify their Plex server IP address in the client settings to make the server correctly appear as “Nearby”/ie stop it from transcoding the content.
I personally got bit by this when I lost the ability to use Companion as my server was now being seen as Remote, which worked fine in the old version without having to manually specify the server IP in the client.
I will double check setting tonight. Video always played direct but the audio (Flac 5.1) randomly transcodes one play and not the next?? Ive reinstalled my nuc. Its really is the only piece of hardware to do the basics great, eg. Play video with sound!
Server is Nearby and can replicate the video glitch with the same scene.
Thanks for your answer @Moussa, I guess the viewed date will do the work, I just need to select “viewed date” twice to get the unwatched movies first. Let’s see if you find quickly a solution for the subtitles, let me know if you need me to debug something.
@carlos.miguelanez@gmail.com @jzm0066 We’re looking into the subtitles issue. You can filter movies by Unwatched, or you can sort them by viewed date, is that the functionality you’re looking for?
@br3nn88 Some server logs would be great, with logging to server enabled in the app.
@norrgrd Not sure what you mean, there’s still an entry in the actions menu dropdown to mark the item as watched/unwatched.
@Smiling Maybe We don’t have autoplay from a single episode because we don’t have a postplay screen yet. That should change in the future. Playing the item from On Deck should create a playqueue though.
Thanks for the feedback guys, we’re working our way through them!
@Moussa Been experiencing video stuttering issues with the new update.
Downloaded it manually last night by searching for it. Installed it, and went to play a local media file. Kept starting and stopping…like it was buffering?
I tried a few different videos, kept happening the same thing. I still had the original plex app on my xbox one, so I went back to that one, played the same video files with no issue whatsoever. So I deleted the newer version.

Any ideas why this was happening?
I seem to have exactly the same problem. Almost every video will freeze at some point, and resuming can be hit and miss. Old Plex app plays the same files just fine at same settings and network set up.

For example when entering Movies and having an item selected you can no longer push the controllers Menu-button and select watched/unwatched. Now you have to select that movie with A-button, go one step to the right to what I guess you mean by actions menu dropdown and chose mark as watched/unwatched.
Same thing with “Go to show” “Go to season” etc. No way to do it from On Deck or anywhere anymore.
Another thing, can’t seem to quickly move up/down lists with the help of LB/RB anymore
