Server Version#: 1.16.4.1469 Player Version#:1.0.0.792-d4adb056 Downloaded Windows desktop app for the first time. Standard h.264 movies sttutter severely. The web app does NOT stutter, always very smooth. NOT sure which settings to investigate.

I agree, this new app’s playback quality is abysmal. Please comment in my previous thread to try and get more recognition on this issue: New Plex for Windows playback is not smooth
