I do not run Plex Media Server on a Mac. I’ve installed it on a 2011 MacBook, but only as a test. Others will be able to provide better assistance.

Some questions to help start the conversation:

  1. Mac model and macOS version?

  2. To double check, you did download the Mac version of PMS, correct?
    Current Version Filename: PlexMediaServer-1.29.0.6244-819d3678c-universal.zip.
When uncompressed, you’ll see a standard Mac app, which you drag into the Applications folder.
Just want to make sure you’re not running the Windows version via emulation, VM, etc.

  3. Where are you seeing the reference to the C: drive, when trying to add a library?
When you select Browse For Media Folder you should see the Mac directory structure, not that for Windows, Linux, etc.

thanks for making publicI have the Mac Mini M1 (2020) Running Monterey version 12.6
I did download the current version for Mac not windows and not running any software allowing me to switch between Mac/Windows.

Correct, when selecting the browse Media Folder I only see a c drive

Hi, can you check you have given permissions to your drives. This can be done in System Preferences/Security & Privacy
