Newbie Can't Connect to Server

Hello,

I signed up for Plex and a free trial for Plex Pass. I then downloaded the server but once I open it I keep getting the “Looking for Servers” on the left and “A Server Could Not Be Found”
In the middle of the screen it is telling me to download the media server again. If I go to active devices it only shows the browser and no server. I have no idea what to do or why I am having so much trouble.

Any help would be great. Thank you

are you on a Windows or Mac? does the server show as running by showing in task tray in Windows or menu bar on mac?

What URL are you going to? Can you try https://app.plex.tv/desktop
