I added new movies to one of my folders and it’s not showing up. I’ve restarted PMS and the PC it’s running on several times and no luck.
Have you already checked if the new files have been added as “something else”?
e.g.
- filter your library for duplicates to see if it’s been mismatched as an existing item
- sort your library by date added to confirm it hasn’t been added as something entirely different
I just did sort by duplicates and date added. They are not there
I take it you did trigger Scan Library Files from the library context menu?
I also suppose your files are properly named (e.g. no tv-show naming in a movie-type library?
Sorry for those stupid questions. Your post isn’t giving much hints as for what you’ve already done or verified.
If you want you can share your server logs to do some further digging.

Sorry about not posting enough info. I think you figured it out! I named them as tv shows and the folder is a movie folder. The folder is for the hallmark channel movies so I made the folder a movie folder. Not sure if I should make it a tv folder instead
You might end up with both assuming not all of them are movies or tv-shows (but a mix of both)
This is the first time I ran into an issue. I have several hallmark shows of 10 or more and they get recognized just fine. Any suggestions?
Best check against the online repositories used by Plex for metadata.
It should be easiest to check on The Movie Database as this shows both movies and shows.
