NFO agent

Is it possible to use posters with this agent?

I know that .tbn doesn’t really work but in the .nfo there is a part where I can add thumbs. Could I just add a local file in the same folder and link to it?

.m4v and .tbn (and -fanart.jpg) - that works fine for me :)

dawiinci…I decided not to pull from the nfo to grab the local media since the localmedia assets works well for me. I am going to add it at some later date in between the other projects.

Doesn't work for me.

Sure you have the latest scanners, agents and the even-hotter PMS hot fix?

Yes, I should be up to date.

Version 0.9.0.21-311bc2a
Scanners 193.1100

And the agent from [here](http://forums.plexapp.com/index.php?/topic/16293-nfo-agent/page__view__findpost__p__115365).

I'm in the same boat with local posters etc. The NFO agent is working great however - it's just local media that's the last bit of jigsaw I need to sort out.

Hmm, I'm not running the latest NFO agent but my own customized version of Harley's code before he changed the agent to be a primary provider. Maybe that's the reason... :o

That could be it because the moviepilot.de scanner has the same issue.

So is this a bug from Plex or how can I fix it?

I think Harley maybe can help you, if you upload the relevant logs.

In the meantime, you can test my custom agent if you want to (attached). I don't claim it is better than Harley's official one but I changed some minor things to have it suit my needs :)

Thanks for the bundle. I tried but it can't find anything. I moved the plugin to the top of the list but no match found. With the latest version the nfo is loaded perfectly just the posters don't work.

The problem is that the movie poster agent does not contribute to XBMCnfo just yet. I cannot access the gothic repo for it to my knowledge, so unless you wan to modify your own copy an flag it so that plex online does not overwrite it, you’ll need to wait until it is updated. There is a copy of the agent around, so of freebase can find your movie ( doubtful since you say no IMDB id) local agent should work.

By chance can anyone recommend an up-to-date application for pulling down metadata and exporting it into .nfo format?

Thanks in advance.

this works with xbmc as the source.

The xbmcnfo agent looks great and is working perfectly for me. However, I’d love to get it working with the LocalMedia agent, so that posters in each movie folder will be recognized, too. I can’t find a way to get the LocalMedia agent to appear as an option in the “XBMC .nfo Importer”'s Info Provider Settings. Is there some magical config file I’m not seeing? How is this defined? What must I do to get these two agents working together, and is that even possible?

Thats I am looking for too and hope Elan will have an other hot-fix of the PLEX-server soon to add the LocalMedia agent

I’ve updated the localmedia agent at github and put in a request to get it pushed through plexonline.

That's great -- can't wait! I assume it will eventually be available [here](http://github.com/plexinc-agents)? I just checked the version of LocalMedia @ github, and it looks like it hasn't been updated yet. In the meantime, can you give any pointers on how to install an agent? If I make any changes to files in the bundles found in ~/L/AS/PMS/Plug-ins/ they seem to get stomped on by a cache? For example, I tried editing a line in LocalMedia.bundle to make it a primary provider, but it gets overwritten? Is there any documentation available on the subject? I haven't read [these docs](http://dev.plexapp.com/docs/) in much detail, yet. Do they help a developer understand metadata agent development, at all? They seem more geared toward plugin development.

Amazing Work Harley :) just downloaded from github and tried it with couple of home video and self shot music video.

now back to testing with some "movies"

I apologize if this is dense, but where did you download it from?

EDIT: duh, [here it is](http://github.com/HooliganHarls)! Looks great! And I see that I just have to turn off automatic updates for it not to get stomped on. Works like a dream. Many thanks Harley! Uh oh, I spoke too soon. It got overwritten again. Arrgh. What else do I need to do other than copy it into ~/L/AS/PMS/Plug-ins?
