I was keeping an eye out on
nightlies.plex.tv/public-test/plexmediaplayer/embedded-testing/latest-full/
for any changes, but it appears to have changed. Does anyone know what happened?

Not sure/aware of any changes.
Might be linked to PMP no longer being developed (except maybe to fix some PMS incompatibilities).
ITs definitely gone. This was my favorite player
PMP has been deprecated for a long time.
It has been said again and again that there won’t be any new features in it.
Here is the latest version of embedded:
Don’t understand why they have locked everyone out from downloading previously released files.
They want me to authiroze via github but after doing so I’m still 403. Anyone have a downloadable pi2 link of the latest version (2.58.x?)
Hi, i found this version on my computer :
PlexMediaPlayer-2.10.0.873-21333ad5.RPi2-arm.img.gz
Are you interested ?
You can find old releases up to PlexMediaPlayer-2.39.0.1001-2cf1a1cc.RPi2-arm.img.gz
using the wayback machine (but it is pretty slow to download them)
But I think anything lower than 2.58.x may have issues due to the lets encrypt root cert issues last month.
Thanks, but I already have 2.52. I don’t understand the reasoning to remove nightlies if they still work.
Actually, I don’t understand the reasoning from plex at all, they just keep deprecating and rebuilding stuff, and also break players seemingly all the time.
I’m using the plex app on my Google TV and honestly it’s embarrassing. They keep adding new features instead of fixing the core problems…
Why they would remove the ability to build a cheap, simple player with a predictable platform(rpi) is beyond me. Instead forcing people to buy new tvs or streaming sticks with questionable support.
So I was again looking for this as my raspi SD card died on me, and I’m baffled that the downloads are no longer available. I use my raspi as a Plex Player a lot.
@blim5001 it seems the wayback machine is purging the images from its archives: I couldn’t download any.
Can someone provide me with a recent (ideally >= 2.55 img.gz) image?
@OttoKerner the versions you list are not the latest, as evidenced by the wayback machine. Could you please provide a link to the last builds? You can make it clear it won’t receive support, it may kill kittens etc, but at least give an option to those of us who want this to have it.
Every time Plex pulls crap like this I regret getting a lifetime PlexPass
