I didn’t really know what forum to post this in, since there wasn’t one entitled “Yeah, dream on bud” – but hear me out:
Plexamp natively in the Rivian infotainment stack.
Plexamp is by far the best media player ever. The UX is phenomenal, the “DJ” stream generators are just absolutely incredible, I use them all the time. To have this as a native audio source in the Rivian UI would just be too good to be true.
Caveat emptor. I know I’m just one dude, and probably representing a 5µ thick cross section of the Plex population, but what would this really take? Rivian runs Android Automotive, I believe, which is an open source; so technically very possible. I assume the biggest barrier would be partnership / revshare with Rivian? I’m willing to bet a crowdfunding campaign would triple the engineering spend. Why can’t we have nice things?
