So i just bought a new soundbar and i want to test it. It have atmos 7.1.4 (samsung q90r)
My PLEX server is on my Pc windows 10. And i use it already for more then 1 year already.
Usually i watch movies on my TV where i have PMP already instaled and it works fine. But the 7.1.4 sound dont work well. So i decide to instal PMP on my XBOX one x for the test 7.1.4.
My connexion is :
XBOX HDMI OUT → SOUNDBAR HDMI PORT 1 → SOUNDBAR HDMI ARC → TV ARC
And in sound option i see 7.1 on my XBOX so i just need to test it now.
And the problem is i cant connect to media server on xbox one x. I linked and login without any problems to my accaunt but when i want to play my movies, it cant connect to media server.
I think i ensure that :
- I have the current version of Plex Media Server installed
- Plex Media Server is actually actively running (server status on PC connected and on my TV i can play movies without problem)
- I verify that Xbox is on Authorized devices list on server.
- I dont use any VPN or proxies ( i never use that)
- I changed “Allow the use of unsecured connections” to “ALWAYS”
- I dont have any AntiVirus instaled i have just windows defender
- evry device is on the same local network ( everything is connected to one router)
And still i cant connect to media server from my XBOX.
Please I would be grateful if someone helped me with this i struggle to make it work.
