No Buddy Build invite email

Hours after receiving my beta invite email and tvOS TestFlight invitation, I still haven’t received my invite email from Buddy Build. I see in the post for installing beta players on iOS and tvOS that “…you’ll receive an email from “BuddyBuild” when a new beta app is available for install.” Does this mean I won’t receive my initial invite email, and hence won’t be able to start testing the iOS beta player until the next beta release is live?

I’ve got the same situation - signed up for tvOS and iOS beta a few days ago - received TestFlight code but no correspondence at all from Buddy Build … just letting you know you are not alone :slight_smile:

BuddyBuild emails aren’t necessarily sent immediately, but you should get one soon (if your account has already been added to the beta and you got the regular informational email). We appreciate your patience! :smiley:

What is the reason iOS betas don’t also use TestFlight? Just curious …

I did that a few days ago but heard nothing back, that’s why I was wondering if it was a selected group, or if was open to all who applied.

I have the same issue, got the iOS Beta email as yet no BuddyBuild email. Did you get yours?

As chrisc said, it took a little longer, but it came within a few hours of the tvOS TestFlight notification.

I will hold tight. I got the tvOS email on Tuesday, so it is taking more than a few hours for me…

You’re not alone mine has been a week now. I think we just need to be patient.

To clarify, once an account is added to the beta:

  • TestFlight emails are sent immediately
  • BuddyBuild emails will be sent the next time there is a new beta release deployed to BuddyBuild

The two services just work differently in this regard. So, it’s perfectly normal that you might not receive a BuddyBuild email for several days. :slightly_smiling_face: Apologies for any confusion.
