No "Channels" access to Home Users

Aside from the Admin, none of my Home Users have access to the “Channels” and yes, they have “Allow Channels” checkbox checked under “Restrictions”.

Now the kicker is. “Friends” with this checkbox checked (thus enabled) -DO- have access to the “Channels”.

P.S. - What’s the chance now that Plex supports Live TV and DVR to change the name of the Plug-In’s “Channels” to something other than “Channels”. :pensive:

I suppose I’m the minority here then with this situation. Everyone else can set users in their “home” to “Allow Channels” and they do indeed have access to said “Channels” ?

I just checked and a home user on my server can see and run the channels. Sorry that it is not working for you.

my set-up:
main admin account is locked and only used for management.
not locked home account (wife’s plex.tv account) just played the CW channel to verify access.

Well, that may have been helpful just the same. My wife’s account is just a home account/user, she doesn’t have a plex.tv account (though mine may be logged in on Roku, I don’t know for certain just yet).

Still exists. sGarver, if the client is utilizing Plex credentials, it is my understanding that they are not considered a “managed account” (under the Home either with or without a pin assigned). If it uses a different Plex account from the Admin, it is something else (normally known as “friends” but, they -can- be part of the home).

So, this is a situation where a Home user who does -not- utilize separate (or any for that matter) Plex credentials in their Roku (so my wife, son and daughter, all “managed users” in the “Home” with “Allow Channels” checkboxed but, don’t have access to Channels).
