No code on tv to link

on my samsung tv (ue40es6100) i’m not getting a code in the app to connect to plex… just getting a bar that keeps running, like it connecting to get a code but isn’t recieving one…
reinstalled the app and checked the internet, but no problems there…
any suggestions?
