No covers and AlbumArt on Music

Server Version#:7.2.2
Player Version#:
I have Plex server running on my Nvidia Shield. It has been working perfectly. I bought an LG tv and tried to connect with the Plex app to my server. I got an error that at least version 1.5 is needed on my server to run with the TV. Saw some instructions to have this version pushed from the google Play store, but 1.4 was the latest version. Deleted my PMS and had it installed again (still 1.4) and started rebuilding my libraries. Everything was found and plays well, but no pictures are shown on my Music no groups, albumcovers etc while all these picures are in the same folder as the music. It was working perfectly with all info and I have changed nothing (scanned and renewed Metadata). Thrown the music library away and rebuild it. Folders and music are there, but still no picures. Any ideas?

@SilverBack12 perhaps @sixones oor @BigWheel can help here.

That server version is VERY old… (February 2017). Are you on the latest Shield Experience version? Public version is 7.2.2, I believe. This might affect which PMS can be installed. If the updated version is not showing up in Google Play, perhaps you could sideload it?

Sideloading should just require that you install ES File Explorer, enable unknown sources, and then load the .apk on a flash drive onto the shield. I am not sure where you can download the server .apk, however.

TL;DR - Not sure how to help with the metadata issue, but do suggest updating server version.

My bad, I do have 7.2.2. I was mistaken bij the PMS version which is 1.4… Whatever I did reinstalling PMS clearing local storage and cache, but still nothing. I just did a factory reset of my Nvidia Shield, installed PMS again (1.4…) and now suddenly it works. Thx for thinking with me. Still don’t understand why it suddenly didn’t workanymore, but now it does
