Hello there, it would seem that Plexamp for iOS seems not to direct play.
So surely this would mean somewhere along the lines it is actually converting?
If I stream using the “Prism” app in PMS it shows as “direct play” if I stream in Plexamp it shows no such thing. Am I missing something??

Plexamp is direct playing nonetheless. The difference is that Plexamp is aggressively caching the whole track (and the track after it) in advance.
Which means that when you are looking at the Dashboard, the server isn’t sending data anymore.
ah, ok… so if you don’t mind me asking a silly question what does it not state that its’ Direct play" like “Prism”?
I do believe Prism also caches a certain amount as well…
