No gaps between tracks.
The original issue was auto closed but this really basic feature is still not fixed after an INCREDIBLY long time.
Hi,
Please correctly playback audio tracks without gaps.
Can’t find this in the forum for PMP (maybe my fault) but this is a serious issue for those of us who want to use PMS to stream music to all our players. **PHT ** does not pause between tracks (especially FLAC) and correctly plays back albums where tracks play into each other. **PMP **_always _pauses whilst it loads the new track. This is not the fault of the files because FLAC files do not have gaps in them to fill up blocks like mp3…
I’m playing FLAC via web ap on my server PC and always several seconds between tracs. Really annoying.
There are plenty of existing requests for gapless playback.
I will close this as a duplicate.
Plex Media Player as such will not be getting any new features.
In issue [Implemented] Gapless Playback it had been suggested by the Plex team to create a new issue for specific players that still experience issues with gapless playback.
The Plex Media Player for macOS is one of such players that would greatly benefit from having gapless playback for audio files.
Please upvote this feature request to bring it to the devs’ attention.
BRB watching spinning circles on my Roku in between tracks.
Gapless audio playback isn’t available in the Windows 10 store Plex client. Please integrate it!
Thanks,
Andy.
As mentioned in the comment here I’m starting this topic to request that gapless playback be implemented in the Samung Tizen client.
I’ve only recently started using Plex and am flabbergasted that it’s taken you six years to start implementing this fundamental feature! Please add it to this version of the client too.
Gapless playback is now supported on both Android and iOS apps. Thanks. Any chance we might see it in HTML5 apps (both web player and Chromecast) sometime soon?
