Doesn’t Apple have HotSpot? My iPhone sure does.

That folder only shows up in the application support folder in the hidden user library, but not preference.xml file. In the “normal” library/application support folder there isn’t even a Plex Media Server folder

PMS (Plex/Web) has required a password since it was implemented by strong user-community request back in 0.9.17.0.
Plex Pass has always required sign-on to confirm active subscription. It was never any different.

If your phone’s browser brings you here, it can create the wifi hotspot for your laptop … Just saying.

It can not when I’m abroad. It’s a restriction by my phone company. Still, that’s not the issue. I’ve always been able to search and watch my library when offline on my mac. I travel all the time so I use that constantly. That screen has never showed up. Irit has never ever ever told me I can’t use plex without an internet connection, even in a plane in the middle of the Indians ocean 2 weeks ago

My question is why does a plex rant like this gets so much attention when I have posted three times with a problem with photo tagging and have not got one answer!!! So what does it take!!!

HOTSPOT works regardless of where you’re located! That’s the whole purpose of it!

if you have internet over 3G, you have wifi hotspot.

Easy: because the software I pay for it’s not working as it has always done and as it’s sold as. You see, in the industry I work for there is no margin for errors, or for taking things personally. You screw up or take things personally instead of solving problems, and you won’t work in that industry ever again.

As for PMS works fine for me with or without internet connect. I did my homework and adjusted by settings

If you se willing to help, you are welcome. Otherwise you are wasting your time and mine. My setup has worked fine for 6-7 years no trouble. This has never happened to me and has happened out of nowhere. I’m glad your set up works for you, but unfortunately for you, this thread is not about you. Sorry to break the news. And about the attitude, I’m not here to make friends. I have amazing friends. I have s problem with I product I purchased and some people are not helping. Imagine if you go to your garage to fix your car and because they dont like you they tell you they won’t fix your car and instead tell you how wrong everything is with your life. Maybe they should be psychologist instead. Good luck with that too
