No Internet / Unable to access movies

When I go camping, there will be times that the RV Park’s wifi is not accessible. I have setup a Raspberry PI with Plex and a NAS. Is there a way that I can use my little NAS when I don’t have access to the Internet?

Is there any reason why you wouldn’t use the Download feature? I use that a bit on flights. You have to know what you’re wanting to watch ahead of time.

Otherwise, if you’re looking for a 100% contained watch system with browse capabilities that doesn’t require an active internet connection with only one viewing device, you should probably consider Kodi over Plex.

I was attempting to do that, but my tablet is a little dated and space is limited. When I setup my little NAS server. I thought I was really on to something! My PI Server has one antenna and I thought I would be able plug my NAS PI into my jackery and then be able to connect my table over the Wifi and watch that way.

Or use emby. It is light weight and works waaay better. I have 2 plex servers and an emby server. Emby transcoding crushes Plex with both software and hardware transcoding.

But to your initial question. I have seen a guide on how to accomplish what you want. How are you connecting to it? Do you have an video cable plugged into the raspberry?

Need more info to help.

Cheers
