No items to display on Home with Android TV after opting out of Discover

Last week, the Plex app on my Android TV prompted me to set up Discover. I chose not to. Shortly after, when going to the home screen of the Plex app, it shows “No items to display” and “This directory appears to be empty”.

All of my media is available and plays fine if I go to the specific library or search.

If I clear customization from the menu, I get my home screen back, but after a short time it goes back to displaying “No items to display” and “This directory appears to be empty”.

@elan short of tagging/annoying you or other employees, what’s the best way to make sure these issues don’t get auto closed because no one is looking at them?

do whatever it takes. their support is lacking. we pay for this, we should get support. i have the same issue, and, on top of that, every time the app closes, the pinned libraries are no longer pinned. happens on a generic onn android tv, and on shield tv. this started after the last update. version 9.2.0.32520
maybe if you scream enough, someone will get tired of seeing it? who knows. i get that no one cares anymore about customers, since it won’t effect you when the company that employs you doesn’t care, but how long do you think you can just take money and have no responsibility? eventually, they’ll go under.

This just happened to me as well. Running on Shield TV, version 9.3.0.32977.

I don’t need or want Discover. It may be awesome, but I when there’s a movie I want to watch I buy it. (Nearly 4000 currently between Blu-Ray, Blu-Ray UHD, and DVD.) But opting out of Discovery seems to have broken Plex for me.

How do we get back the experience I’ve had and loved for well over a decade???

@DaveBinM you’ve been helpful in the past with getting issues noticed. Can you help here?

Okay. So… surely there’s some way to get it back. My family isn’t a happy camper and the complaints are getting more persistent. Help!
