No local playback without internet connection since Plex for Windows 1.82.2.4024

Server Version#: 1.32.7.7621 (Windows)
Player Version#: 1.82.2.4024-64f483f6 (Plex for Windows)

Hi,

I have PMS running on my Windows 11 laptop.

Some days ago my Plex for Windows client upgraded to 1.82.2.4024.

Since then I can’t play anything when there is no active internet connection (in the train to/from work). Worked perfectly fine before the update.

I don’t get any errors, when I click play nothing happens. If I enable my wifi after clicking play the video starts after a couple of seconds.

Seems like a client issue because my old PMP client still works without wifi, also using the web via https://127.0.0.1:32400 works.

I uninstalled the 1.82-version and went back to 1.81. No issue.
After the next start it asked to update again to 1.82, I did and the issue returned.

Any ideas?

Please let us choose where to download files and avoid using an unintelligible folder structure for the downloads, so that we could use a regular video player to easily play the downloaded files.

This would alleviate the frequent issues with the download feature of Plex.

Other folks are having problem. There is another topic about it I cannot find right now. That app team is looking into it.
