I recently uninstalled an older version of Plex and installed the most recent on my windows box. When I am on my PMS I am launching the web interface and I am getting the
Plex is not reachable.
“Make sure your server has an internet connection and any firewalls or other programs are set to allow access.”
This machine has internet and since it is on the same machine I doubt I have a port issue. - any ideas? also windows firewall is off and the web interface worked prior to the uninstall of the old version
I just had the exact same issue. Our internet went down during the storm, so I wanted to redirect the kids from their youtube videos to Plex and I got the same error msg as the OP. I never had this issue with previous editions. I am currently running server Version 1.1.4.2757 and I tried to get in the web application by right clicking on the plex symbol in taskbar and then “open plex” which then brings me to http://127.0.0.1:32400/web/index.html I shouldn’t need an active internet connection to use Plex in my own home network. But while the internet was down, none of the kids’ client apps (1 on roku and 1 on Samsung tv) worked. It seems this new version has quite some issues…
It appears my issue was with IE blocking port 32400 - I copied the url back into chrome and I was good to go.
