No longer able to access personal added libraries? It has worked fine for months but just started over past week. Libraries I have added no access but built in ones fine.
Before I go through the log routine wondered if anybody knew a quick fix to try.
Not sure if it helps but I can access these libraries / folders on all my other devices and web. The only place I am blocked is PlexConnect, it even shows scrolling thumbnails when I click on the folder!
Looking at your log it looks like none of your media has valid durations in the xml, I’ve seen this problem before, try rescanning the media in Plex and it should fill in the durations. This really needs fixing in PlexConnect but I keep forgetting
That log still doesn’t seem to be “loglevel=High”. It should give you much more information (like received XMLs), even the discovery process should be more informing… you got to restart PlexConnect after changing settings, right?
I am not quite sure what’s going on…
Are you running PlexConnect locally on your jailbroken aTV?
The first lines of your log…
18:17:31 WebServer: http request path:
/assets/com_apple_MobileAsset_AppleKeyServicesCRL/com_apple_MobileAsset_AppleKeyServicesCRL.xml
I have never seen something like this. What is apple doing/requesting there?
Nothing funny i have PlecConnect on my JB ATV. No idea about Apple request is there anything more you can suggest. Or anything else you want me to do to try and track the issue down?
Ok, the file aTV is looking for at Apple is… http://mesu.apple.com/assets/com_apple_MobileAsset_AppleKeyServicesCRL/com_apple_MobileAsset_AppleKeyServicesCRL.xml
You can easily look at it, it’s some XML containing a Certificate. Don’t know what they do with it… I have never seen it, as it will only be caught on an aTV directly, kind of a side effect of canceling out the automatic updates. I don’t think we have to worry about it for now, unless we are concerned about the time consumed in the WebServer area.
For the main issue… your aTV seems a bit overloaded. The last PMS-XML is received at 09:17:36, printout done at 09:17:52, an error is logged 09:23:15, and at 09:23.59 the XMLConverter is still working. Shutting down logging might help a lot… but then we wouldn’t be able to investigate.
Anyways, the root cause might be the following session:
Normally there is a bunch of additional information provided at “Media id=…” like file size, resolution, duration. But for this media item nothing is disclosed. XMLConverter marks duration data as “((ERROR:durationToString))”, which might upset the aTV…
Please remove that offending file from your library, do a library refresh, and try again.
Neither of those… from you library: H:\ServerFolders\Videos\Tutorial Videos\Lynda com JavaScript Essential Training\02.Developer Essentials\02_07_Events.mov
Are you able to shrink your section to a lower number, e.g. divide those files into 4 different section to figure out if its every section or still depends on a couple of files? This would also make the log file leaner…
