No Music Videos Under Artists?

Returning to Plex as an alternative to another software i have been running for family outside my LAN. I had my music videos appear as extras using plex a few years ago without issue, Setting up the plex server again, now, these music videos are not showing up under artist…

I guess you would call it a global music library as i have all my music videos in a folder as:

\music videos\artist name\music video files.

My music library folder structure is

\music\artist name\album name\track titles

I do not recall having to do anything, the last time i set up a plex server, but now music videos do not show up as extras under artists. I do not want them to be associated to a song, just the artist.

Reading the How to for music videos i did add \music videos on the server in the extras->Global music videos path. I did rescan the libraries just in case that needed to be done.

But the end result is i have a music video library, used “other videos” to create that. But none of these videos as show up under artist extras? What am i missing here…

Try Refresh Metadata instead.

Don’t create a library in plex using “other videos” for my music video library? Like to have a library where folks can directly access them as well if thats possible.

Metadata refresh my my music library? More than happy to do so! Gonna take another 2 days to accomplish this again. :slight_smile:

Refreshing the meta appears to have resolved what i was trying to accomplish! The music library will be scanning for another 10 - 12 hours, but checked a few artists and the music videos have populated!
