Sometimes when I add content, I only have a menu item for analyze, but not for matching.
Even if analyze fails, why can I not fix matching manually?
For what type of content are you attempting to fix matching (or just match)?
On the video side, you can only match/fix match movies and TV shows; you can’t (fix) match an individual episode.
On the music side, you can match/fix match artists and albums, but not tracks.
It is TV series or Movies. Often with a mistake. But you get no help finding out the mistake.
An example is “Le Monde en Face” which according to thetvdb translates to “The World in Front” so I have three episodes. I misnomed it “The World at Front”.

No opportunity to match. If I had been allowed to match, then I could have supplied the French title, “Le Monde en Face” and found it.
After renaming to : The World in Front, I got a hit, but still cannot rematch.

Another I got right. “Hitler’s Entourage” but the TVDB has it wrong. “Hitler’s Entourage”.
I updated the TVDB entry right now, so it will take some time…
“World War II: Endgame” series did not exist on IMDB or TVDB.
I think I should at least get a change to match it.
Added that series to TVDB.
”Truth & Lies” is the correct name, but TVDB calls it “Truth and Lies”
So you have often a mismatch in the naming, but that should still allow
you to find the correct match. But we are not given the “fix match” alternative
As I stated, you can’t perform a (fix) match on individual episodes. It’s only available at the show-level.
You can change the episode ordering via the show’s advanced settings, so if, for example, there are different orders for airing and DVD, you can change that. But there are no options for matching specific episodes.
I do it on the show level.
