Fix Incorrect Match on TV Shows is Missing now!

Ok so the last 6 months of Plex for me has been really starting to make me mad. Features are getting broken and switched around more and more and more. Now as of Version 1.4.3.3433 there is no longer an option to fix incorrect TV Shows, but there is in movies. It is naming episodes wrong in Star Wars Rebels again too, and now I can’t fix the match. Seriously guys, a year ago and longer Plex Server never had issues, and now its just problem after problem. Not cool since I am lifetime member!

The option is still in the same levels it used to be:

Plex never had the option to fix episodes being matched to the wrong number, only when the entire show is mismatched.

I’m seeing the same issue for tv shows in 1.8.4.4249. Were you able to resolve the issue?

Fix Match is in the initial page for the show - not in Seasons - not for Episodes.
Regardless of the location of Fix Match I think the problem is YOU are naming Star Wars Rebels wrong - because this works perfectly and instantly:

A TV Show Library/
…Star Wars Rebels/
…Season 01/
…Star Wars Rebels - S01E01.xxx
…Star Wars Rebels - S01E02.xxx
…Star Wars Rebels - S01E03.xxx

The problem is with TVDB getting wrong, NOT YOU. Kindly see other sources:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2930604/episodes?season=1&ref_=tt_eps_sn_1

I tried moving TVDB to the bottom of the priority list, but this had no effect.
The only other way I figured out so far was by manually editing each episode.
If anyone knows another way or a way to use a different agent, please advise.

TVDB is Plex’s ONLY TV Show Database.

Try to remember TVDB is ALWAYS right - even if they’re wrong… it’s just easier that way.

https://www.thetvdb.com/ <— there you go. Find your show. Name accordingly:

I am experiencing a similar problem. I just added the Roots 1977 miniseries and Plex thinks it’s the 2016 miniseries and I have no option to Fix the match.

Same problem for me. Plex thinks that The Twilightzone (2019) is the original Twilight Zone from 1959.

The ‘split’ option is there, but only at the top level of that show. Not on the Season and not on the Episode level.

As for the Twilight Zone: [SOLVED] How to correctly add The Twilight Zone (2019)

I can’t find the option to match the right show since last plexserver update, it searches and gives me the wrong show but I have no way of trying to fix it to the right show. What changed? I din’t looked at the movie section if it has the same problem, but in tv I have no way of changing. Hello Again! matches to Cedar Cove? LOL!

Please show me the content of the Plex XML info of one of the affected episodes.

Also the precise path name, which appears if you Edit your library
and go to the ‘Add Folders’ tab.

Thanks for the link OttoKerner!

Moving the original series out of my library, fixing match on the 2019 series then copying the original series back into my library worked for me.

It just went missing for me. It is gone from every show. I need to fix a match and this use to be right. The whole system is running super sluggish too.

Upgraded to the new server version, still can’t see the match option anywhere, I update the meta data and there is no option to choose and search. for example The Code 2019 version appears as The Code 2014. I don’t see any option to match it. :frowning:

Click on the series first, then click the ellipses menu at the top. Fix Match is there for me.

Found it before we could it on the episode in question, I see it was moved here. Thanks!

I see fix match for movies. It does not show fix match option for TV shows. I’m updated to version 1.15.4.994

The same applies to ‘Fix Match’ what applies to ‘Split’:
They only appear at the ‘show’ level.
Not at the ‘episode’ and not at the ‘season’ level.

It seems to be randomly disappearing and reappearing.

Mine appears to be doing the same thing. Very frustrating that it appears consistently on the episode level but not at the show level. When going through and fixing up your library this is a big inconvenience.

And mine is also running very very sluggishly all of a sudden.
