No remote access on 1.18

Then it’s disabled

And bedtime very soon

Haha yeah same here

So can you still not access the server from your end? Now that I restarted the app?
Other than that I will try to ask the IT company to help me out with the firewall

Hey,

So, called the IT company, and they checked the firewall and everything seems to be working as intended. I can access the “identify” page, and using an online port checker I can also see that access is granted, so I highly doubt it’s the firewall here.

They did however, not exactly understand what you were requesting with the DNS rebinding, and wondered if we could specify that more exactly (perhaps a language issue).

I still think we might be barking up the wrong tree since a downgrade each time gives me back access to the remote function. Not that I have downgraded this time.

On a positive note, since yesterdays re-enable of the Plex app, the CPU has not gone up in load as of yet.

Spoke too soon, CPU load just went up

I could almost swear it is connected to the “looking for server” function on the web interface. Because it started after I launched that too see if by chance it started working.

And closing the web app again sent the CPU load back down… could this be a clue?

So…

I checked plex pass downloads, and saw there was a new version released on 17/1. Ironically the same day I made the first post, and it looks like upgrading to that version helped my problems. I can now access my server through web/apps.

Unfortunately I must re-open my case, and ask for help.
Everything worked until qnap released the latest firmware and since then I started having problems again.

Basically, direct palying via PKC on kodi works without any issues. But I cannot access the server via the web. Locally or remotely, neither works.

I have been hoping a new update might fix my issue since that was what solved it the last time, but nothing so far, and I am on the latest plex pass build (30/3).

Another thing to note is that each time I open upp the web app my QNAP CPU spikes, until I close the tab again, then it goes down to normal.

Thankfully I can play content, but there are a lot of functions that I can’t use due to the fact that I cannot access the web interface.

I am attaching my logs, hopefully someone can help share some light on this.

NOT the same issue, despite siml. symptoms, so please create a new thread!
