No response from Plex Media Server

Good Afternoon.  I am having a little issue and don't know what to do to fix it or what I have done wrong.  I followed the instructions as much as I could and to the best of my knowledge.  So let me start and see if anyone can help me out.

 

I did the following:

<strong>Downloading, installing and configuring PlexConnect</strong>

  1. Download Python 2.7.x from here and install it. NB PlexConnect is not designed to work with Python 3.x. so please ensure you install the correct version.

  2. If you are running a firewall (Windows or otherwise) ensure that you create a rule for python.exe

  3. We will be releasing point versions (e.g. v0.1, v0.2 etc) of PlexConnect but until then you can always download the latest zip from Github here.

  4. Once you have downloaded the zip file, place it in a directory of your choosing on the machine you wish to run PlexConnect on and unzip it.

  5. Open the "Settings.py" file using notepad.

  6. Edit the line "return '8.8.8.8' # google public DNS", replacing the "8.8.8.8" with your DNS server (the one you noted down from the ATV before you changed it)

  7. Save the file

  8. Double-click the "PlexConnect.py" file to start PlexConnect

  9. You should see output in the command window as PlexConnect starts.

  10. Open the Trailer application on your ATV and you should see the PlexConnect interface appear.

  11. Enjoy

Now if I go to the ATV3 and open the "Trailers App", it does take a while to load. After loading it does show the Plex (movie folder) and if I select the folder all my movies show up....  But this is after a while of it hanging up and stating, retrieving TRAILERS.  The movies loaded on my plex media server will not play and this is the error that I get.... Screen Shoot is posted as pic.  Please assist me and let me know what else is needed to help fix me issue.

 I will try this when I get home.  I can tell you that by using the plex app on my phone I can see actors, directors, or genres in my metadata.

Hi,

I did exactly same install, and get the same windows saying No response to Media Server.  I don't get any lists of my movies or tv shows at all.
