The Shield TV seems to be the only device that can’t display shared content. Android Mobile, the web app, Roku, they all show shared content, but the Shield TV doesn’t. The Shield TV is using Android, so I don’t quite understand why it doesn’t work, but I’ve seen the issue on several Shield TV’s so it seems to be a common issue. Anyone else see this and know how to fix it?
Not aware of a particular issue.
Have you checked if those shared servers/libraries are showing under More in your main navigation?
If I remember correctly that’s the section for “single item shares”, e.g. if somebody shares a specific movie or playlist instead of their entire library.
Do you see such shared items in the Shared section of those other clients or are you referring to actual shared libraries that are not showing?
Maybe, but even single shared items don’t show up. I discovered that when trying to watch a movie with my in-laws. Only way to watch together is to share the entire library.
And yes, on every other platform I’ve used, content shows up. Screenshot from my Android phone shows 2 shared libraries rather than no content.
Aren’t those 2 also part of the libraries showing in your 1st photo?
Yes, those are the libraries. Here’s a better shot of how it looks on Android mobile with a single shared item included. It doesn’t show any of these on Shield TV.

I think I’m getting it 
The single-items (e.g. “101 Dalmatians” and “Favorites”) are not showing on the Shield’s shared section.
Given the “Photos” and “Photos - Dad” libraries are visible… do the other libraries (e.g. “Kids”, “Kids Movies”, “Movies”, “Music”, “News & Home”) show up on the Shield?
They show up in “More”, but not in Shared. So, the biggest issue is the single-items e.g. “101 Dalmatians” and “Favorites”) not showing in Shared on the Shield TV. And what’s worse is that Watch Together doesn’t work at all on the Shield when sharing a single item. The only way to get Watch Together to work is to share the entire library. I’m not sure if those issues are connected, but it seems like they are.

already done; keep in mind it’s weekend and there’s an upcoming holiday – so not sure how fast we can get a reaction/confirmation

i’m seeing similar. just upgraded to latest shield device (pro). have attached (usb) drive for my media library.
on my laptop web interface to plex i see all my content. on the shield device i
soon as i posted this noticed i had to update my media server on the shield device. was bit hidden. all good now.
@tom80H Can you poke the devs on this? It would be nice to have shared content working on the shield.
