I recently purchased a box that runs Android 7.1. It runs the Plex app perfectly, however when I try to watch Live TV there is no sound. The picture is great and recorded stuff has sound. I assume this has something to do with encoding, but not my thing. Any ideas? The Box is a H96 Pro+ running Android 7.1.2. Plex version on that box is 6.5.3.2115.

Purchased a H96 pro running Android 7.1 no sound on the TS media recorded with a HDHomerun. Converted TS media to mp4 and I have sound. Watching the same clip with kodi I have sound and video. Plex needs to update the app so TS media will play video and sound
I am using plex on my Desktop Windows 10 server and networking to nvidia shield and fire stick with out any problems live tv and recordings. But I also use a T 95Z Plus ANdroid 6.0 box and the recordings are great but the live tv has no sound.
I use the HDHR but I don’t think anything is wrong on that end as everything works on all other devices.
I have checked all setting, tried rebooting etc. Still no sound on live tv. ANyone have a solution?

I have the same T95Z Plus box (mine has Android 7.1.1 though) and am experiencing the exact same issue with no sound on live TV. On every other Android device I have, and even on an older Android box, live TV plays fine (video and audio). I installed the VLC media player on the T95Z box as a test and live TV played through that gives both video and audio but WAY out of sync so that’s not an option. I thought it possibly might have been a missing codec but I installed a codec pack and that didn’t resolve the issue. There is a firmware upgrade to the T95Z I haven’t been able to install as the OTA function of that box is broken (as it is on many T95Z devices). There are other ways to upgrade the firmware and as soon as I do that I’ll see if that fixes the issue.
