NO SOUND with 5.1 ac3 audio to chromecast 3rd generation

I tried many audio settings combinations in the Plex Web Player and I simply cannot get Chromecast 3rd gen to play 5.1 AC3 audio from my video files.

Chromecast has the same issue with Netflix, but Netflix offers to play in standard stereo their videos so I simply switch audio codec.

is there a way to go around this issue, that seemingly arises from the chromecast limitations.

By the way i am able to cast from VLC those same ac3 5.1 videos and I get sound on my chromecast.

So what is it that VLC doesthat Plexdoesn’t.

I simply prefer Plex overall design to vlc, so if there i solution I would enjoy.

Is your CC attached to a receiver? If not you should turn off this setting to make sure you only get stereo.
