Error: “No soup for you! The server you’re trying to access doesn’t want to let you in. Make sure you’re signed in as a user with access to this server.”
Server Version#: 1.18.5.2309-f213a238
Player Version#: 4.12.3
Synology: DS1819+
DSM: 6.2.3-25426 Update 3
Logs: [REMOVED: ATTACHED INCORRECT LOGS]
I am running into the same error again and again (post re-installation of Plex on Synology as well). I have followed a below articles on the forum that say the error is resolved but in vain:
Also, ensured and reassigned the permissions to the Shared Media folder and sub-folders to plex user. Both my Synology and Browser where DSM and Plex server UI window run are on the same subnet.
Thank you for the prompt reply. My apologies, did not realize that the server on Ubuntu was already running. I just stopped it.
I cannot find the path for enabling debug logging as you mentioned (Plex Settings > Server > General > Show Advanced), it is slightly different and has the logging already “Enabled” and not “Verbose”. I believe that’s the setting you are referring to )see screenshot). Previous logs were from Ubuntu - perhaps set to verbose.
Thank you. Trumpy81 - multiple Ethernet connections was the issue. Now it works! Really appreciate your help.
I have a few questions:
You mentioned, “You cannot use a Domain name, QuickConnect or DDNS address and any VPN should be disabled.”. Is this true for first time discovery of the nas-server or always when running plexserver on NAS? I use both customized domain (mydomain.local) and also VPN for internet.
Since I also have plex server installed on Ubuntu and configured to local directory on that machine, could running both in parallel cause any issues?
