"No soup for you" error Synology DS918+

Hello guys,

It’s a long time I’m trying to install plex media server on my NAS ‘Synology DS918+’ and I already watch a lot of topic to make it work but after days of try, it’s still not working …

I’m stuck on the screen “No soup for you”. I’d already updated all permissions on the folders as recommended and tried to install the last version on the plex website, but exaclty same problem.

NB : I’m not direclty connected to the local network of my NAS but I’m connected thanks to the VPN of my internet box. So I did all the manipulations with the local IP of my NAS. (192.168.0.119)

Plex Media Server (1).log (452 KB)
Here is my logs too.

Thanks for your help guys.

May I have the full log ZIP file please?

The “(1)” log is from the previous startup.
I would like to see what it’s doing and what it captured as you attempted to sign in.

make a ZIP file of the “Logs” directory (in the Plex share) please (right-click in FileStation)

Here we go! Thank you for your help
Logs.zip (973.0 KB)

@StickIT

  1. You deleted the previous logs?
  2. You gathered the logs while PMS was running?

If files are copied while still open, the end of the file is always missing.

Can you please

  1. Restart PMS
  2. Wait 2 minutes
  3. Attempt to access
  4. Stop PMS
  5. Now create another ZIP
  6. Attach the ZIP file
  7. Please tell me if you’re accessing from local (same subnet) or a different / remote subnet .

@ChuckPa

I recorded my screen to show you exaclty what I did.
PMS was still running so I have follow your instructions and upload new logs.

My NAS is in France so I’m connected throw a VPN connection to the router of my NAS from Japan. I’m connected directly to the local network of the router. Subnet mask is 255.255.255.0 on my NAS. Does that answer your question?

Thank you for your help but when I try to connect http://localhost:8888/web, I have this error :
channel 3: open failed: administratively prohibited: open failed

SSH connection looks working.

Ok, it looks working now! Thanks
