facing issue when I cannot run any of available channels from tuner device.
My setup:
VBox 3442 dual-tuner device connected to LAN,
PLEX running on synology NAS as app (not VM, not Docker).
LiveTV&DVR option in PLEX can recognize the device, can list the channels with the EPG and logos, but when I try to play:
- on MacOS app: It’s playback error: Could not tune channel. Please check your tuner or antenna.
- on AppleTV app: It does nothing with message: Recording failed. Live TV session.
All the channels and logos of TV programs are properly found and visible on Plex → LiveTV&DVR → TV Guide. Just playback missing…
Unfortunately there is no HDHomeRun available in my region and this VBox 3442 is in the list of supported devices.
Tuners checked and showing all ok.
Also in touch with tuner support people.
Please help, it’s frustrating for long time already.
It was running before, with issues, with outages but it was working. Not anymore. No change happened on my setup, I could recognize.
