No subtitles and most MKV won't play on the Apple TV.

I'm a dummy but i managed to have the plexconnect to work on a appletv3 with a sinology 212j. All my movies and tv shows are nicely set in the Apple TV. A mp4 movie "Pulp Fiction" works great, very nice. But the subtitles are not viewable. When i start the Plex player on my Macbook everything works fine. Most of the MKV files don't work at all on the Apple TV, but the do work on the Plex player on the Macbook. Does anybody knows this problem.

Plex on the Macbook can Play mkvs. AppleTV can't. Its that simple, plex actually needs a high cpu server to transcode in order to play it on an AppleTV, a Synology NAS its not a high cpu server. You basically need a 2,4 GHZ core 2 duo minimum

Thank you very much shapetheLOLa for your comment. My search will go in to get a system where i easily can stream from the synology to my Loewe television. I'm very positive about how plex looks but it will be very hard to get a system like that what will work with MKV and subtitles.

Yea, I hear you. Thats the reason I built my own NAS and did not buy a Synology one..
