Ok - I had already turned off the “Find trailers and extras automatically” just so I can toggle it and see - waiting for the first scan to complete before turning it back on and then I’ll do the metadata.
Thanks!

Well, I’m still waiting on it to finish the Metadata refresh, but spot checking doesn’t look like anything is changing. Oddly enough I did see the ‘KidsMovies’ library I have, with the same settings, does have trailers on a number of movies…disheartening but lets me know it now looks like something with my Movie library and not the PMS on Linux. It’s getting late here so I’m going to bed. Not sure if worth your time troubleshooting my one library or not - my biggest library of over 1500 items.
Thanks!
Have you by any chance used the “The Movie Database” agent to match all movies in this library when you first setup the library? Please check this tip to enable “Plex Movie” in the “The Movie Database” agent and refresh your library once again ![]()
I did not have “Plex Movie” checked inside the “The Movie Database” agent. When you say refresh - is that scanning library files or refresh Metadata? I do now have “Plex Movie” checked inside the “The Movie Database”.
Thanks!
“Refresh All Metadata”. But you can try with a single movie first. Click on “…” and then on “Refresh Metadata”. Hopefully, the trailer will appear now.
That was it! Having that checked inside the other agent, who would have thought
Thanks again for helping me get this resolved!
Each movie is bound to the Agent that was enabled when you first matched the movie. Changing the Agent of the library does not change he Agent for existing movies
That’s the reason you also had to enable “Plex Movie” in the other agent.
Interesting and good to know! Thanks again!
