Just got my Nvidia Shield 3 days ago, and Plex has been giving me a hard time setting up my permanent server.
Here are the issues I am facing
1) None of the TV shows play Theme song,
Only way I was able to play a Theme song was when I uninstalled the PMS update and revert back to factory default, which brought me back to PMS version 1.10 something.
Adding items (TV Shows) in this build of PMS and then updating to latest version would partially solve the issue, but would have some other issues of its own
2) PMS would show as “stopped” as soon as I connect Ethernet instead of Wifi. Eventhough its running but in Plex setting it would show stopped, restart, closing the app and reopening didnt fix it. Keeping in mind server is actually running, it just toggles on “stopped”. Toggling back on Run wont work, period.
Disconnecting Ethernet and going back to Wifi would once again solve this bug.
Here is what I have tried
Factory Reset of the Shield TV a couple of time
Dozens of time Resetting Plex and Plex Server, clearing all data and setting it up one again
Uninstall updates on PMP and PMS

Device : NVIDIA Shield 2017
Firmware : 7.0.2 (29…10.175.21)
PMS Version : 1.13.5.5291 (smb)
PMP Version : 7.3.2.6276

I did a complete reset of PMP and PMS, created the server, Imported my TV Shows, gave it about 2 hours and the result was the same. no Theme song, including the locally stored theme songs didnt play and also Plex missed 3 TV shows with no pics loaded at all, text meta was loaded though.
Your support would be highly appreciated so that I can once and forever make my Plex server which was the sole reason for my purchase.
Tried your suggestion on ISSUE 2, but didn’t work.
After switching Ethernet on, Plex server wouldn’t toggle back to On.
It sure is a bug that is a slight problem and needs to be fixed.
About Issue 1, I have already posted my Logs and the most proper detail I thought Plex team may need to remove these bugs.
I really do hope they @Plex take notice of this post ASAP and fix these issues which is slowly gonna start showing up more and more.
I think the reason for this issue not being too common is because most people either didnt update to Android 7 on their Shield TV or didnt get to add new shows.
With Ethernet turned ON, Plex Server ACTUALLY doesn’t show up on any device, ONLY works and shows up on Shield TV
Then I decided to try another thing, reset all once again, and this time connect with Ethernet while to repeat the server making process.
And the same issue, the server is created successfully and after clicking finish when it opens Plex, in settings, Server is “Stopped”, trying to turn it “On” takes me back to the same loop that I was facing before.
I think the issue no 2, Ethernet connection Showing Plex Server “Stopped” might have something to do with my Active VPN
I am using Socks 5 based VPN bypassing LAN.
With Wifi it seems to have no issue, but switching to Lan shows Plex Server Stopped
Sometimes I am able to access PMS settings via my Mac and sometimes the server wont show up (while connected to Lan on Shield TV)
