Hi All!
I have a Mac Mini (Late 2014), I using macOs Mojave, and i installed PMS 1.16.5.1554.
I read a lot of forum posts but i didn’t find a solution for my problem:
PMS simpli not find video files except if i set a directory to a photo directory.
Photos Library: /PlexMovies (video files founded too)
Movie Library: /PlexMovies (looks library is empty)
I tried several setting now my i set my movie library scanner to: plex video file scanner and agent to: Personal Media
After these settings i found few errors in the logs:
Error issuing curl_easy_perform(handle): 28
AND

Other problem if i restart the server (quit an start) i have to reconfigure the server (name, network) except folders.
Follow exactly the website articles on Your Media for naming and folder organization.
A good Agent is Settings > Agents > Movies > Plex Movie where Plex Movie is checked and highest on the list. You can also have Local Media Assets checked and first if you have external subtitles eventually. But for now Plex Movie is better.
You will definitely want to do The Plex Dance as part of your re-organization.
Those tips will apply, even if you had no strange curl errors.
Have you tried cloning the Mini with SuperDuper and just wiping PMS, starting fresh with only 2 movies in a brand new folder and see what happens?
Hi!
thank you for your answer. I tried your tips but my problem still have.
Im absolutely sure that it caused by network setting, because if you see my scanner log (what i attached) you see the scanner get 401 error here, and the scanner detect the movie. I think because of this 401 error the plex db is not refreshing.
Ok I agree you’re facing network issues, and they appear as 401 Unauthorized
The request has not been applied because it lacks valid authentication credentials for the target resource.
So why would that occur? Maybe we just need to start with first steps. When you use the Mini, and are looking at it’s desktop, what happens when you open up http://127.0.0.1:32400/web
Are you logged in when you open that web page?
Try signing out and signing back in with the Plex account that’s administrator for PMS.
There are two articles on the website that appear when I search for Unauthorized
Do those help at all?
Can you Settings > Network > Show Advanced and screenshot that page for us?
I have a feeling you’re close, but I don’t want to suggest turning off authentication until we can sort of get past the basics
